Our Clinical team provides a variety of behaviour support services to support individuals living with a disability and require behaviour support plans. We specialise in assessing and supporting individuals with a range of complex needs. We assist those who have been diagnosed with intellectual disability and are displaying behaviours of concern including concerning sexualised behaviour.
(1) Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
Functional Behaviour Assessment used a person-centered approach in understanding individual challenging behaviour. A forensic assessment is completed through data collection from interviews with the individual person, observations, and working closely with key support people/ agencies/ services. Once the function of behaviour has been identified, appropriate strategies are recommended to assist in improving the wellbeing and individual quality of life and minimise behaviour of concern.
2) Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) development, depending on the immediate needs of the individual, we can develop an interim or comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) when there is a need for immediate intervention to minimise the risk to the individual and others.
Comprehensive BSP is developed after a Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA) has been completed. Therefore, our specialised Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan will be informed by the FBA to identify the individualised strategies to address the behaviour of concerns and assist the client to achieve an optimal high quality of life.
3) Implementation Training / Reflective Practice –
Because we believe in a continuity care approach, we make it our passion to continue working closely with our clients to understand our clients’ detailed needs and goals. Such as we believe in continued supervision and training for other support workers involved to achieve a collective best outcome.
